Fairfax Photos

Welcome to the Fairfax Photos online community which is centred around photographic publications. Fairfax Photos is the consumer sales arm of Fairfax Syndication which manages the sales of photos, cartoons and front pages from the Fairfax Media archives. The Fairfax Photo collection extends back to the dawn of newspaper photography in Australia. Our photographers are amongst the world's most talented and have won numerous international photographic awards. The Fairfax historical archive covers the growth of Australia from British colony through to Australia's position today as a proud, independent and prosperous nation. Our exclusive pictures range from Australia's greatest sportsman Sir Donald Bradman to Phar Lap, from the MCG to the building of the Sydney Opera House and from trams to the monorail. Fairfax publications include The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Sunday Age, The Sun-Herald and The Australian Financial Review. Fairfax also publishes a number of regional and community newspapers throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our newspaper background means our photographers are constantly in the field capturing enduring images of events, landmarks and people. The Fairfax Photo collection is growing every day.
