Brisbane Heat

The Brisbane Heat represent our great city in the KFC T20 Big Bash League. Now into its third season, the BBL has grown to be one of the best T20 competitions in the world, and the Heat are proud defending champions having taken home the trophy in 2012-13. We compete amongst eight foundation teams including the Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, Hobart Hurricanes, Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers. The competition will consist of eight matches per team , two semi finals and a grand final. The two Big Bash finalists will advance to the Champions League Twenty20 tournament. Brisbane Heat. We come from a city that is a reflection of the true Australia – easy-going and down to earth, but hard working and determined to be as good as it can be. A city that is growing fast – a country town quickly becoming a global city, powered by the entrepreneurial belief that anything’s possible, a city that feels like it’s about to explode… A city blessed with sun, sand and blue skies all year round - where the people live outdoors and on their balconies, surrounded by their friends and families and enjoying the ‘good life’. The lights used to go out at 9. Now we compete in world-class sport under lights every week. A city that’s defined by its energy and it’s passion – passion for sports and it’s teams, but also for life in general. Brisbane is Australia’s most progressive, fastest-growing city, and the same energy and passion that drive the city are in the DNA of our Twenty20 team. The Brisbane Heat’s players will bring the pride and toughness of the people of Brisbane onto the field, and believe that the way you win is as important as winning itself.
